Sometimes we are fortunate enough to have a person (or two) who comes into our lives who teaches us to be curious, challenges and encourages us.
That person can unknowingly intervene and bring out the very best in us.
I’d be sure we can all recall at least one person who has changed the trajectory of our life. I highly doubt they even realised the impact they had!
1 person – encouraging and believing in 1 person can change the world!
You never know who that one person might become because of our encouragement and belief in them.
They may not be the next Steve Jobs but they will be the next parent, neighbour, friend and the rocket of encouragement that you toss into the pond of their potential will ripple throughout the community of humans that they encounter for the rest of their life.
Teaching others what you know is a gift of a lifetime for that person.
My mission for my business has always been to teach and empower people about their business numbers so that they gain the confidence to grow a profitable business for the long term. So many people, many who have been in business for a while, are too embarrassed to say they don’t truly understand their numbers and only look at the balance of their bank account and perhaps the bottom line on the Profit & Loss statement.
They are business owners and should know how the numbers work – right? Not necessarily. We’re not taught how to look after the books and manage our business and the finances well – ultimately how to get those foundations right to ensure long term success. We have our zone of genius and swan dive into business with rose tinted glasses because we’re great at what we do and believe we can make a living doing what we’re so passionate about.
I’ve seen so much success with many of my clients. It’s truly a privilege to watch them grow personally and professionally. To build their confidence to know what questions to ask their accountant, to grow their business to the point where they need some assistance with investment planning with their accountant and/or financial advisor – truly inspiring! It makes me feel like a very proud parent!
I’m not a coach – and no aspirations to call myself one. My point of difference is that I’ve had my own share of challenges in business in the past (26 years prior wrangling a business with 10 employees can do that!). However, it doesn’t have to be that way for anyone – learn from others mistakes! With the right support and lots of encouragement, anyone can be successful in business.
One person at a time. One business at a time. That’s my goal – change the numbers of those dreadful statistics of businesses who fail within a few short years of being in business.
If I can make the world better for one person, one business – change the trajectory of their life – then I know I’ve made my mark on the world.
